What's so hard to understand about that?

I can't emphasize it enough - this system isn't about who's the best, or who's the most powerful. It's about who's achieved the most thus far in the season. In terms of what they've done, those two have achieved more.Ed Guntherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17618165280932470376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6793424786678923623.post-62306925363349646202008-09-08T10:22:00.000-04:002008-09-08T10:22:00.000-04:00When Vandy and Kentucky are the two highest ranked...When Vandy and Kentucky are the two highest ranked SEC teams there's a problem with the system.Caseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12564433156224970606noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6793424786678923623.post-35551335104537832342008-09-02T19:25:00.000-04:002008-09-02T19:25:00.000-04:00Thanks for the comment, Sean - couldn't've said it...Thanks for the comment, Sean - couldn't've said it better myself.

EdEd Guntherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17618165280932470376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6793424786678923623.post-74713519104511444562008-09-02T19:12:00.000-04:002008-09-02T19:12:00.000-04:00Anonymous:These rankings are not biased based on t...Anonymous:

These rankings are not biased based on the name recognition of a program as human polls are. Furthermore, they only take into account one week of games. As each team plays more games, it is much easier to judge the relative strength of each team.

Basically, if Kent State walloped Youngstown State at home the same way OSU did, I can guarantee you would not be laughing at Kent State being #53. Just give the rankings a few weeks to stabilize.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6793424786678923623.post-33425132134682516612008-09-02T16:36:00.000-04:002008-09-02T16:36:00.000-04:00This does not take into account when teams take ou...This does not take into account when teams take out their first string players in a "blowout" game (see Ohio State vs. YSU). There is NO way that Ohio State should be ranked #53 in the country...that is laughable on so many levels.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
