Some minor upsets at the top, and another conference switch - this time, #5 LSU and #6 USC have to be flipped so that Oregon doesn't get another conference foe. It works out for both of them, and they're pretty much guaranteed to be in the Top 4 for next week. #16 Oklahoma beats #17 Louisville, so they'll keep rising as well. The Official Rankings might look like...

So there was some shakeup at the top. Let's look at Ohio State. They were sitting pretty at #2 for quite a while, ever since USC fell in the 1st week. But a loss in the 4th weekend has pretty much done them in, taking them down to #5. Even if they win big in the 5th week, it most likely won't be enough to jump into one of the top two slots, since the winners of the #1 vs #4 and #2 vs #3 matchups will most likely get those spots. This shows the importance of winning at the end of the season, now that the system is turning more "single-elimination"-like.
USC has regained it's old form, getting back to #3 with it's win. Oklahoma jumps to #13 with their win over Louisville. The last week before the bowls is here...
