One of the better pre-New Year's Day matchups, these two had really good seasons but were a bit overshadowed by others in their conferences. Oregon ended the year with a bang, beating down Oregon State, and a lot of people have overlooked their offense, which is pretty amazing considering the problems they've had with personnel this year. Oklahoma State performed admirably in a pretty rough conference, but their only really good win was over Missouri.

We can look at the stats here, but they don't seem to favor one over the other. The story seems to be the turf, since neither team normally plays on natural grass and because the field has hosted two other games in the past week and might be in pretty bad shape. Both of these offenses revolve around the running game, but whoever can pass better might have an a big advantage here. Going against the grain with this one...

The Line: Oregon +3

The Call: Oregon by 4

The Result: Oregon 42-31

A supremely entertaining game - props to both teams. Great back and forth in the 3rd quarter there, better D than I thought we'd see, big hits, solid performances. The Cowboys have a lot to be proud of this year, even ending with a loss, and with a lot of underclassmen returning, they'll probably start next year in the top ten. If this was Bellotti's last game coaching the Ducks, it was a hell of a way to go out - well done.
