Alrighty, let's talk about these rankings a bit.
TCU at #2 ahead of Oregon? Yeah, Oregon has played one less game. Once they get to the same amount, they'll be pretty equal, considering they both still have solid opponents to play.
Boise State all the way at #8? Same reason - they've only played 7 games so far, so they'll be able to make up a lot of ground in the next five weeks. (As long as their SoS doesn't hold them down like a rock.) That's why Michigan State is still at #4 - already played 9.
LSU ahead of Bama... interesting. That'll be put to be this week, but it goes to show that losses matter - the Tigers loss to Auburn is looking better and better (objectively), while the Tide's loss to South Carolina is looking worse and worse.

This is why I have suggested that you do your rankings by average points/game. Then we would get a direct comparison each week.
Otherwise I think that your rankings are some of the most believable, and your analyses are some of the most insightful that I have read.
Steve
Hey there Steve, thanks for the note. Yeah, every few years I go back and completely rehash my rankings to make sure they work, and I think it might be time to start working on a new version. If not that, perhaps at least another column that shows the average you're talking about, just as a different perspective.
